The only thing that needs to be said about HoN is that it is not fit for competitive play. If you can't see that, then you aren't a competitive DotA player.

There's already many competitions going and it's yet only in closed beta phase. I also must agree the pool and balance is currently not here for competitive play, yet it still happens. When the game reaches release, it will be just as competitive as DotA.

Having random, meaningless "competitions" != fit for competitive play. When this happens, when that happens, nothing but speculation. As I said, its not fit for competitive play. Can that change? Possibly. Could it get even worse? Also possible. Speculations are meaningless.

Er, nothing better? Rather everything better to be honest. The graphics of HoN are only appealing to a certain taste, the heroes are either too weak or too imbalanced. There is no hope for a competitive side to HoN until it's more balanced.

And as everybody else has said, it's a DotA rip-off. I'm not trying to convince you to hate the game, those are just my opinions on it.

The graphics are by far superior to WC3/DotA, you can't really argue against that. And it is a DotA ripoff, it was meant to be.

I agree it is pretty imba still but it has a lot of promise to soon surpass DotA. Tons of cool features and the skills work a lot smoother which is nice. I used to play DotA a ton and took a long break and now started playing HoN, it has a ton of potential.
