By all means please elaborate, what makes it, in what way is it not close enough to DotA? You always got to keep in mind that this is a closed beta too. More game modes are coming, a larger hero pool, more hero ports.
Edit: Of course the game will feel different at first because everything "seems to be new". In fact there is absolutely nothing new. All of HoN items are DotA duplicates, only with different names. Of course that is also subject to change because it's already been stated that S2 was not going to follor Icefrog steps all the time.
edit2: I gotta say one thing that pained me on my first few games of Heroes, that I had to ask my teammates who every heroes were, and what the items were called now. But once you nail that, it becomes just as familiar as DotA.
but they can do stuff that dota cannot due to the limits of the wc3 client.
Honestly they are the same imo, but hon has extra perks that really do make a difference.
How many times have you disconnected in dota and said FUCK!, well in hon you just log right back in... sure you might be slightly behin
and one question, what hero is electrian in dota?
Of course every game is going to look like the base of the category, just like wow has done to every new mmo out there, but does it mean wow = every mmo?
