NA, there's really three 'build' lanes.

Nuker/Huge Burst : Go Dagon, Shivas, Boots of Travel. Windwalk up Mana Burn ---> Impale ---> Shivas ---> Dagon, boom.

There's tank, where you get a Blademail, a few hearts, maybe a Bfury and a Bfly to help in farming...

It's nice because you return 140% of Melee.

There's battle, where you get vlads, SnY, treads, Bfly, Bfury, and you whack stuff.

if you play pubs, yes, you can follow these builds

and you know that opening with vendetta actually isn't a good idea 100% of the time?

with a ward down, a team can and will lock NA down (or kill him) before he gets a chance to do anything

usually you'll see good players opening up with impale, walking up and hitting the target, using vendetta and hitting again, then finishing with mana burn and whatever else

if chances of survival are iffy, sometimes players will save vendetta as an escape, and use their mana burn and impale to deter enemies from continuing pursuit to the NA's teammates

only lion can get the most out of it because of his voodoo and impale
i would recommend dagon on NA before that

and don't go tank build in a serious game, ever

NA is a gank/support hero, and only that much

don't turn him into a carry or a tank, he does not have near the potential to fulfill either role as other heroes do

Also you guys misread topic. Topic is fun builds. Not "Cookie cutter builds".

Lion: stat stun/drain. build vanguard followed by shivas. getting drain and vanguard will allow you to run around impaling/fingering lanes all day. its not cookie cutter like phase/bracers/bottle/blink but it is still viable.

NA: I haven't tried this, but you could build diffusal and eventually manta. the idea being if they have no aoe, you can come out of vendetta unload your spells and then manta.
