Valve opened up sign-ups for DOTA 2's beta earlier this week. There's not much to the sign-up process; you just need to get a Steam account and visit the official website.

There is a public beta scheduled for the fall of 2011.

No set date as of yet.

my friend sad that the release day was monday to could buy game, but in the middle of gamescon he sad they changed the buy date to 2012 and instead made beta testing avaible this year, so we concluded that there is no safety on what and when it will hapenn sadly.. and also he raged that hes beta version ran out since he didnt play for hes team in the gamescon
