Sorry for my bad english but ill try to help:
1v1 gaming is most likely about - "Who can denie and hit more creepkills in the early levels (1-9)" - duel.
So, if you are goin to play 1v1 (ill think OM mode), then:
There is 3 different way how to success line creeping in 1v1 (if you hit 2 of these (most important is the damage + positioning), you will win)
First:
You got better projective attack speed than the enemy hero. This will allow you to react faster if any creep reaches the denie HP %. It is based on your hero, you cant improve this. (Projective speed is the frame time between your attack start and the success (when the target gets the damage) - for example, sniper's projective is the fastest among the ranged heroes - rastha's is one of the slowest)
Second: You got more damage than the opponent. This part is simple, if you got 200dmg, you can hit all the enemy creeps with ~180life under. So if you lineing with more damage, you can "start" lasthitting the creeps at earlier % of life. (remember, that denie is allowed @ 50%creeplife and 10% of building life)
Third: Positioning (where you stand and where the enemy hero stand when you both creeeping). Since your are goin to rvr (ranged vs ranged), you must positioning. - i belive you allready heard about the roofup miss percentage - when you attack from a lowground to a highground, you allways get 50% miss (except with mkb). This means you have to block your ally creeps and try to place and keep the creep dueling area in the sentinel side next the river (see below)

The yellow circle shows the area where all creeps should be, the red line shows the enemy hero's attack range (600) (Of course the same way if you are on scourge side)
There you can see that if he want to attack the creeps, the must stand in the river, so your advantage is not just 50% miss but if you stand uproof behind (for example in the front of the tower) your hero will be faded out by fog.
If you can keep the wavecreeps in this area and you can keep lasthit well, you will surely win the game.
Items i recommend?
If you are goin fun 1v1 (rules arent strict), then buy 2x courier, 1x power treads, 1 bracer and 2 healing potion. If your enemy aiming for dagon first, then buy 1 more bracer before any lategame item you would go for.
Lategame items for invoker:
get a manta style and guinso asap - use coldsnap + forge spirits to kill enemy. If you are in trouble, hit tornado - that will liftoff sniper and you can run away w/o lettin him aim you with assassinate. Butterfly can also help you out vs sniper, he just cant go for mkb since it wont stack with his passive skill anyway - gg

For orb effect, get lifeleech (dominator)
inb4 question
"why 2 courier, lol'd on you nub"Use one to carry your items. Thats simple
Use the second to scout rune.
inb4 question
"but he will keel my courier pfff"The runes spawn every 2 min. This means, if the rune was taken, every 2nd min a new will spawn randomly in the river. So you have to check the timer and use move order on the courier to the rune and Shift move order to move back to the hide.
I belive i dont have to show you where to hide your courier if you are on sent or in scourge side.
Hopefully everything was clear and id help a bit (this short guide will help almost any ranged vs ranged).
