it all depends on how you want to play the character, i feel you should mix and match items and see what works for you, i think the best way to learn items and their effects is through a custom game where you play against AI.
I usually always do boots first, although highly discouraged nowadays, i have always played like this since 04.
items have changed through different patches but i always play her speed
I tend to rush my setup so here it goes in order
1. Boots
2. Gloves > Mythril Hammer > Maelstorm > Hyperstone > Mjollnir
3. Boots of Travel
4. Quarterstaff > Claymore > Lothar's Edge
5. Quarterstaff > Eaglehorn > Talisman of Evasion
6. Demon Edge > Javelin > Javelin
7. Broadsword > Blades of attack > Crystalys > Demon Edge > Buriza
end game you would have
Boots of travel, Mjollnir, Butterfly, Lothar, Monkey King Bar, and Buriza...............this is speed + damage
that is the ideal build for me, i rarely reach the chance to get mkb and buriza because of game ending, rarely will you acheive this build simply because games don't last that long or too many deaths resulting in no money...or leavers to end the game
but like i said, mix and match, notice i don't get any wraiths, i would only get wraiths if we are down. Also forgot to mention, buy those trees to eat, or potions in the beginning
This build would obviously be godly...
But there is no way you'll get a chance to farm that in a real game - gotta stick with realistic builds that function in each part of the game - not just creating a monster char that can run over people @ the 60 minute mark.
There's much better char's that are more ideal fora monster build/farm game plan than potm.
Potm is so valuable because of her early/midgame abilities - not carrying at the end of a game.
