I dont know if this helps but when i try to make a game with the map it says "map doesnt exist".

Lets say i try use version 1.22 or some other and i can host it. But how will i be able to paly with others since all others use the new patch?

you won't thats why I don't see reason to install previous patches -.-

What was the map name, you will be hiding it all the time?

if you have some friends that wanna play it you can play it on an old patch over ggc, but that's about it.

Try to name it like..
druids v shamans

Modify it so that it works with the latest patch. That's what my friend did for the 4.2 frenzy.
