HoN is fine if all you want to do is pubs and look at nicer graphics. Competitive players stick with DotA. HoN lacks balance, and even worse no competitive game mode to ban unbalanced heroes.

When all the heroes are ported, and the devs make more effort to balance everything in the same way IceFrog puts so much effort into balancing DotA, then things might change. But the way things are going now, I don't see HoN ever overtaking DotA. Same with LoL, as that's just an incredibly over simplified version for a broader audience.

Also, 99% of DotA'ers are pubs, so what is so bad about pubs in HoN?

I've seen many websites selling 03-04 accounts for quite a bit of $$.

I am pretty sure he doesn't get on once every five days (0.2 ppd) to post one time, then leave for another 5 days.

It is a little hard to believe.

yeah HoN fails competitively, but its still in beta. I'm sure they'll add -cm and stuff.

i've played with some not too bad teams before in dota and the high levle of play is fun but I really enjoy HoN more. maybe its just a nice change

Yea, I get tired of the repetition of playing DotA over and over, because I've played every hero, and there is nothing really new about it.
I only start playing DotA every day when there is a new patch involving a new hero of some sort.

Actually, Abstract is correct. I donated to jsp long ago back in the .09 days. After quitting for a year or two, obviously I stopped visiting the site. When I came back to jsp, FG had become quite valuable in more ways than one, in which case I decided to stick around.

As far as spammers go, those who visited the BF would possibly recognize my name for being in the infamous MC/LC, being one of only two members who were never warned. The other was unfortunately trapped and auto-banned for reasons mostly known only to those related. Needless to say, the major members still stay in contact, me included.

Sooooo, in conclusion, I lol at you and other ignorant people.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, I'd probably have less than 300 if I didn't put so much effort into selling WoW gold and various D2 items to amass the FG I now own.

No, 99% of the DotA players you play with are pubs. Try actually getting better before judging a game based off APEM games.
