Troll was ok for .59 in pubs, you could farm all game and come out decked after an hour and perma bash their whole team. Even pubs move much faster in .60/.61 though, so I don't think Troll will be able to get ample farm to be effective even in pubs.

Carries like Troll/PA/Void don't see much play because they require such massive farm to be dangerous. Many other carries are at least helpful/useful with just decent farm mid game, where they can assist with ganks/counter ganks/pushes/etc. before going back to farm.

Don't be a dumbass. Heroes are no different in regular than in em it just takes longer. Stupid scrub report yourself for having the IQ of a rock. Why would you idiots post if you have nothing to contribute to the purpose of the thread?

He is versatile and honestly, doesnt need GREAT gear (to an extent)

The guild you should go for is:

Treads (strength)
Dominator
2x Bracers/Wraiths
Then Butterfly

There's an enormous difference between -em and non-em that has nothing to do with the time of the game. Strategies are vastly different, hero viability changes dramatically, item builds change, the list goes on. People who don't understand how big of a difference -em makes simply don't understand DotA. The reason real players dislike -em has nothing to do with fast games. Its the style of play that is supported by it, with all the afk-right-click players in it.

Troll does need great items to be a threat, unfortunately. As with any physical DPS, early-mid game he is worthless. He provides no nuke/stun/whatever. He has stun, which is meh for harassing during the laning phase. He has bash, which isn't reliable enough in a gank and requires him to actually be able to get hits off, which he can't as a fragile agi carry. He's easily ganked with no escape mechanism, his skills don't really give him damage increases, so he needs items to make up for that.

em is pretty much retarded. it makes most intel heroes that are normally good completely worthless.

example: i can go solo middle in EM mode with bane, while the other player picks something retarded like drow. the creeps / towers die so fast that i can't really stop drow from farm anyway, and with the extra gold she can soon get enough hp regen to just free farm a lane.

even if i last hit / deny perfectly and she just autos she'll still end up being stronger than me just because thats the way EM works

Bane>Drow in every way, shape, and form.
