In the Beginning go for:

Gauntlets of Strenght --> Combine them into a Bracer later
Circlet of Nobility --> Combine them into a Bracer later
Ironwood Branch
Tangos
Healing Salve

This will allow you to lane for a while, when you reach your first 875 get a Ring of health.

I have to disagree with this build as a starter. What pit needs early on is some extra mana. Bracers are nice, IF you need them, but they aren't a set-in-stone item. You can often not finish them with pit and sell them off in pieces later. He is a STR hero with a decent health as it is, what he lacks is mana early on. Picking up branches/circlets and mantles are better than gauntlets.

Ring of Health is a move in the totally wrong direction. He isn't a particularly strong laner, but he doesn't need RoH, especially as the first item you pick up. A bottle or void stone will greatly increase your lane presence and overall effectiveness. He is actually a good candidate to buy an early Ring of Basilius if your laning partner needs it. RoH is a bad pick up.

Buy Boots when you are back at Town and go for Persevence. Now in 6.61 you should buy the +32% Creep Dmg Axe, I forgot the name.
The Life/Mana Reg + Dmg from Persevence is just incredible for you. Also you can upgrade it into Battlefury later.

You say it yourself later in your own post, play pit like a support. Why in God's name are you going for battlefury? It doesn't support anything. Pit is useless as a physical DPS hero and he farms extremely well WITHOUT battlefury. He can take entire creepwaves with one spell, battlefury offers nothing to him but mana regen, which he could get cheaper elsewhere.

As I said before, he farms very well without any damage items. Pit is known for his farming abilities with spells alone, he doesn't need any bonus damage to farm like a god.

In my Opinion Dagger/Guinsoo isnt the best choice for Pit, because you play mainly a Supporter Role and Push/Def very often.
Shivas would be nice, since the Def is very effective for you as a Tank role + the Aoe Dmg+Slow is nice with your other Skills.

I would apologies you to go for the Late game Items in Order I listed them below:

I always go for this and it works very fine.
If you like you can Add a Bottle to your Core Setup for storing runes.

All in all play Pit as a Supporter Hero, he is no Burster at all.

Your item build is a bit off. I already stated why battlefury is a bad pick for him. If you're going to use radiance, you need to pick it up early. By the time you get it the game should be over, and its overall effectiveness will have dropped significantly. Setting him up as a tank isn't necessary a terrible choice, but he's not the best at it. Bottle+Phase+heart could make him pretty beastly.

Wouldn't Necronomicon be a good item for him?

It could be, but it has fallen out of favor as of late. The micro required isn't bad for him, but the way you use him doesn't make him an amazing carrier. A lot of him is anti-push/teamfights, where it isn't that great. If you're in a push heavy lineup, he's an amazing carrier because he can farm it so fast. Game time has been shortening, furthering limiting the power of it, since you don't get true-sight till much later.

Overall, it's not a bad choice, but sheepstick is usually better; also, other items can be much better than it. If you need it, then he's not a bad carrier at all, but it's not common these days that you'll need it.

the build depends on what style you want to play. you can go support or you can go dps with him.

for support: BoT, guinsoo, shiva, HoT
for dps: treads, battle fury, radiance, assault cuirass, heart

but yo will need to change what skills you get depending on what build you go.

Sure, you can go DPS on any hero. You could go with the same build on ES or Lucy or any other non-carry str hero, but that doesn't make it good or the best build for them. For pubs, if the other team sucks enough, you can use this build on any hero; it's generic enough, but for an optimal, generic, build, you must play to the hero's strengths. In this case, DPS is not one of Pit's strengths.

first get boots, trees to begin with. then go to perservearance, then battlefury. get Boots of travel next, then just start porting around farming for radiance. then get shivas, and if you need some sort of disable i would recommend voodoo. goodluck. i always go positive with that strat.
