Thats exactly what i meant... If you play easy mode games and get one of those lategame heros (Phantom Assassin, Stealth Asssassin, Gondar, Sniper, Void, Magina, Bloodseeker, Drow, Juggernaut) you will have easy success, because getting strong items on them is almost guaranteed in easy mode, you dont even have to work hard or play good for it. This will make you seem like youre good at dota, but it wont really teach you anything.
Play 5-10 games on easy mode just to learn the game, the itemscrolls etc., but then stop playing easy mode as SOON AS YOU CAN. Try playing heros that are strong, but require alot of skill and game knowledge. You will fail alot in the beginning, so it will seem like they are worse heros, but you will learn alot more by practicing those hard heros.

- Good lanes (double stun, carry + supporter etc.)
- How to jungle and which heros can jungle
- How to pull creeps. How to stack camps
- When to push and when NOT TO push a lane (stuff like overpushing your lane earlygame by getting basilius, which is really bad)
