I think that they should not change the grafical style so much, because it looks like a naruto dota.

let me guess, you started playing, what, at 6.4? 6.5?

what really pisses me off is people coming into the DotA scene, playing a few releases, then QQ'ing because something drastic changed.

ever try playing back in the 3.xx-4.xx? there were so many loopholes, that if one particular hero was picked it was a guaranteed loss for the opposing team. thankfully it is not like that anymore. just because someone picks TC does not mean instant win. for fucks sake, disable him and he dies. teamwork is key.

i personally like a lot of things and dislike others. new scepter is kind of a joke but a lot easier to farm. razor is imbalanced, and will get nerfed soon. so will TC. batrider may as well. the secret shop changes are GFG tho.

my opinion: icefrog keeps making the gametime shorter. it seems with this version, a lot is focused on early game rape/dominance. no longer can you ricefarm for 45mins with your carry and hope to mop things up. (rarely anyways)

besides, it had been too long since a "huge" change happened.

edit: and whoever wrote that it looked like naruto-dota, wtf do u mean by that? it looks like DotA to me... i dont get where you got naruto from...

I personally don't see anything Naruto about the update. That term, Naruto, seems to be more of a random grab for something that the OP thought would be degrading.

I don't really understand the "AHH RAZOR" mentality. He doesn't seem bad to me at all. No escape mechanism, 1 nuke close nuke, with potential for fairly decent DPS early in the game (before mega farm time). He is no necrolyte or dirge. TC I understand, his stun is very powerful with the right team, but his aura is beyond disgusting. The bat has a few issues mechanically that need to be resolved; they didn't think very hard about adding flying. His slow seems a bit powerful, but I'm not sure it warrants a direct nerf, maybe add a slight increase to cooldown.

It's a well known fact that most of the playtesters for Dota have always sucked balls at actually playing. Nearly every hero that gets released is overpowered. I still have nightmares about mercurial (that wasn't even the worst in recent history).

I personally liked the aghamins buff. It makes it more accessible and useful to the non-carries. The biggest problem is, it mostly provides small benefits for the price. Most heroes will want other things first, and it is still a pricey item. But really, that doesn't change it much from what it was originally, except a couple of heroes added to it's list and a couple of old ones might consider it as a first major item, which is fine by me.

Force staff needs to be removed from the game. It's too fast and provides to big of an advantage for such a cheap item. Most of the other new items need tweaking; they don't feel right yet.

I love what they did for sven, although I still question the viability of his speed buffing shout.

Overall, it's not a terrible update.

I think the new razor is a move in the right direction for agility heroes. 1 nuke, powerhouse DPS by midgame. The hard carries need to be revamped for earlier game access. They are outdated arena style gear mongers with bash and crit. Heroes are slowly but surely becoming more and more complex.

Dont think the changes exactly made the game shorter...

Push intensive semi-carries of 6.59 got a strong nerf. Dirge and Necro in their personal hero abilities (Krobe not so much) and also their key-item bloodstone being nerfed.

On the other hand, "true" carries along the lines of sylla, tb, mortred, troll and antimage all got buffs as well as indirect buffs through the introduction of quelling blade, the buff of MKB and Bfly aswell as the better Diffusal.

Additionally turtling heros like techies and pugna got significant buffs and the engine of most aggresive ganking lineups of the 6.59 maiden was made to a less global and more aoe based hero, which allows for turtling out teamfights aswell.

Also Khadgars gave a good counter to the heavily nuke and aoe based lineups of 6.59...

All in all i think theres gonna be 2 big trends on the 6.60 scene.
1. being the even more extreme pushing to abuse the high tower duty and get an early stacked carry with quelling blade and the great new carry items...
2. Extreme turtling, farmfest and playing it slow. Long and boring games with stacked carries like in the earlier 6.5x versions

Im fairly sure the changes of 6.60 killed the gank based, very aggresive playstyle that you could see in 6.59 and that produced so many epic clashes, especially between the top european clans. KS.int and Ravens like no other showed their dominant teamwork through the extreme clashpower and gankpower of their lineups, and 6.60 is a step away from that actionpacked playstyle.

Pick-League season is starting and decided to play 6.60 with TC and BAt being autobanned, so i guess well see soon anyways

nerf bat and tc and map is ey-o-kay

i like the new scepter since old one was so retardedly overpriced

from 6000>4300 1700 gold less
this auctely makes it possible for heros like lich to get it after its core items ( boots meka bracer's wards ofc )

Dont play smart, i played since 6.33 and i loved every change except this. I think that they build up a perfect gameplay and graphic setup and now they just destroyed it. I feared this day for a very long time and i stopped playing DotA, maybe permanently.

6.59 had it all, but they had to keep going and make rediculus changes. I just dont understand it.

_____

And about the naruto DotA isn't because of the heroes, it's because of the ridiculus change of graphic style. They just keep updating, just for the updating. Nothing is better then 6.59, some is worse. That's why i didn't like this. I respect that they took a big chance and made a big change in the game of dota, i just dont like it.
