I highly doubt he meant the coding of the program rather the use of it in general. but good job, you gave him his response.
No, actually the coding is one of the problems, but i wasnt even talking about the client yet.
What i actually said in my post is that garena ladder is one of the worst wannabe-competitive leagues the dota scene has. All of the rooms are filled with completly retarded noobs and all the high ranked guys are stomping the pubs with friends (or atleast most of them). Its as bad as SIG in game quality, but added a matchmaking that is player controlled for the ultimatively worthless stats.
Now on to the client. The main advantage is that it combines the direct hosting possibilities with better ping than on bnet with a gaming platform including game rooms, a chat interface etc. Its in no way better than hostbots and the likes, but its easier to get into for tech noobs and more attractive to use. Still being easy to use makes it very accesable for low level clanwars, organising scrims etc.
On the other hand garena is a fucking buggy piece of shit. Random disconnects, server splits, obs bugs, hosts whose games you cant see, tunnels not working properly, friends only being displayed when on the same server, while all servers share the same game rooms. And to add to that you have rooms that are always full + a retarded system of gold members etc., every 3th-5th patch garena refuses to work at all, and they update almost every 1-2 days
EDIT: And yeah, the "new" layout is also horrible, i liked GGC (the actual ggc) alot better, and as already said, 1 bug fixed, 2 bugs added
