Es + SK

preferably non EM
es gets the arcane ring in the 4-6th minute
then it's just simply gg

We've played a shitload of CM pro's etc and not lost a single game with that combo, no matter what the opponents pick
(ok, Omni was a bitch one game, fcking repel)

ES + SK will fail hard against good players. most of the time you will have a tough lane with at least one range, like POTM / bane or tide / puck. since you are melee with low mana pools, they will harass the shit out of you until you cant even get near the creep wave without dying. you wont be able to farm at all and no arcane ring in 4-6 minute = GG

Not really. If you're decent at LH, you'll get a few lasthits and that's enough to get a ring within 7 minutes
even if it takes some minutes longer, it's still gg

i dunno man, I've never personally seen that lane but most of the time 2 melee fails hardcore in a lane. range just has such a huge advantage with last hits and harass that its hard to do well

Seems like youve never played a good opponent in your life

a) 2 melee
b.) 2 easily harrased targets
c) 2 horrible lasthitters
d) 2 heros who cant spam their spells early on

As for actually good lanes, theres alot of combos which are standard and can work...

-Kunkka with an proper pre-stun, lion currently being the most frequently played, maiden being equally strong but banned more often.
-Typical 1 range / 1 melee dual stun lanes which are actually good... SK Lina, Potm ES
-Axe / Naix / Yurnero with a strong initiating disable like CM, Rhasta or Lion
-KotL with a spam dependant farmer like Lancer or Bristle

Maiden Jugger or Rhasta Jugger are way stronger.

Some lanes may be good for the ONLY THE LANE, but they suck horribly when you look at the whole game. ALchi and Yurnero are both Melee DPS heros (alchi being playable as support, but also needing alot of farm, which is counter productive for yurnero). You will lack teamfight power, lane control, map control and team synergy with this shitty lane.
