I doubt it was match fixing. It is not the first time Rogue has tried to deviate from normal builds/reactions to other players builds. Rogue played himself in that series. Especially game 1 and 4. Very poor decision making on Rogue's part. It's also unfortunate that Rogue did not attempt to copy Dark's one/two base all-in/timing attacks because Neeb has shown time and time again that he's a very greedy boy and his early game micro is often sub-par. That's why Dark smashed Neeb the last two times they met. This is also how Maru manhandled Neeb in the RO16.
All in all a poor showing by Rogue and Neeb being allowed to get that economy and 3-4 toss game he so enjoys.
TY vs Neeb will be interesting. TY is an unorthodox player that is quite deadly and he's not afraid to bust out proxy play. He was the first one to pull out the marauder/cyclone proxy play that Maru used in one of the two games against Neeb.
Neeb mid to late game PvZ is very strong but his TvP is a bit weaker. But since this is not group stages he will be fully committed to pratice the matchup. Can Neeb go further than anyone else and get into a GSL finals? Exciting times for the foreigner scene for sure.
I don't know if the gap has been reduced a bit from 2017 ( it feels like it ) but it's definately feels better to be a non-korean watching sc2 this hear.
Lambo just said Rogue would go 2 base sh, thats why he build four queen without spores, thats why the late third
The build looks like 2 base roach, and it was pretty strange when the adept timing hits rogues natural and he took a lot of dmg because he doesnt have roaches at the time, I asked lambo why rogue doesnt make roaches, he said rogue would save the gas for shs
Still pretty strange, the game really looks like Rogue just fucked up everything
