every time i try and play broodwar the display looks all messed up with weird colors all ver everything. the text is all jumbled together making it inpossible to read anything. ive tried fresh istalls. using combatability running in 256 colors. etc. nothing works.

anyone have this issue with windows 7 on broodwar?

windows xp op for old games

I you are using nvidia card - try this - it's an old solution - a weired one too.
1. click rmb on destop and chose properties (this should open graphic card settings) - if not you need to find it thru control panel
2. do not close graphic card settings - minimize it of move to the corner
3. launch the game -> this should fix colors in game
4. dont ask me why it works

open brood war
alt tab, ctrl shift esc (opens task manager)
end the explorer.exe process
alt tab back in and your colors should be normal.

once you're finished playing, just use task manager to reopen explorer.exe with file -> new task

wait for their new patch to update bw for modern systems becuz they realize their old games are better than anything they can come up with now
