Been a long time since I've played sc2 And this was the build order I did to get into plat 1v1. Want to get back Into it but I can't remember the exact build order and was wondering if some of you may know it?

It was something like:
15 hatch
15 gas
15 pool
Pull drones off gas right at 100gas
2 queens and speedling upgrade as soon as available.
40 speedlings at 6:10 or so.

There's also an alternate build.
Its the exact same but you leave 2 drones on gas instead of pulling all 3 off and get banelings (vs toss and terran)

Anyone know these builds?

17 hatch
18 gas
17 pool

rest is the same. can also do 17 hatch 17 gas 16 pool or 17 16 15 for faster speed but the first one keeps 16 drones on minerals

What he is trying to say in reality is that it really doesn't matter. You are already ahead anyway.

Ahh back when I played it was 15 15 15.
So is 17 16 15 what everyone is doing now? That's the only build remotely close that I could find.

And why is it 17 16 15 and not 15 15 15 now?

Edit: 15 15 15 I had 16 drones on minerals. Was a safe start in case the Ling rush failed I could saturate my nat, get my other 3 gases, and go roach/hydra
This build was taught to me by an old broodwar friend that played zerg at GM level.
I got to plat just spamming these 2 builds ever game. (Speedling rush and a modified baneling bust)

I mean you always have 16 drones on minerals. 15 15 15 you'd have 14 drones on minerals for a while. Obviously eventually you get 16. Build is slightly different because you start with 12 workers. 17 17 16 works out so when your pool finishes, you start queens and speed at the same time, similar to 15 15 15 used to be. It's a pretty common safe opener but if you wanna build 40 speedlings go for it.

Biggest thing about the 15 15 15 is its quicker than 17 17 16 so you rush them sooner.

Yeah..I mean 15 15 15 would technically be faster speed but its not going to be better unless you attack the moment you have ling speed which will be way before you have 40 lings. Honestly you can probably achieve platinum doing this every game regardless of which version you use because the reasons why it works up to platinum have nothing to do with tiny changes in the timing.
