Play some zerg first, get a feel for the game. After a dozen or so games you'll see what the master tosses do against your strategies and simply try to mimic it.

just learn some builds like rickers here is saying and you'll be fine. honestly 1 base builds, if you execute them with any kind of timing at all, will kill most ppl until high gold I would imagine. you should try just going straight to blink stalkers with a forge (for +weapon ups and cannons in case of something stealthy). either 1 base or 2 base (with the 1 base being very easy to execute).

well the thing is i guess im a rather fast player for my level and im currently trying to macro every game. ive defended (obviously on silver) quite a few all ins (e.g. 4gate vs my 3gate + exp) and then (due to economic lead) crushed him a bit later with a push off of 2 bases. there were quite a few cannon rushes too or proxy 2 gates, im just not the guy who likes to do that stuff. i want it to be more challenging regarding multitasking.

my problem is im not quite sure how to react in certain situations. like on silver you can actually lit up the enemy base with observers without the enemy noticing, so i usually know when hes going for specific units, but what shuold be my response? and even if he does see my obs ill just hallucinate phoenixes.

my biggest problem is: can i expand or not? like i dont seem to quite have the hang on whether there could be a strong push incoming really soon or not (i guess the best indicator would be when the enemy takes an exp for himself, but that shouldnt be everything)
