Since i started playing a while back a friend told me to hit injects using camera hotkeys (f1-fx keys) then clicking on the queen, then v and click and repeat for other hatcheries. Now that im in gold league and am slightly better at the game it feels like its quite slow and when i watch pro's they do it a lot faster, how?

most pros do it the way your friend taught you, just press F1 then make a box to grab the queen and inject

pros just get really fast at doing it

they dont hotkey the queens right? I heard that can mess up the queen when you have one spreading creep

Actually i used to hotkey queens on 4.
Just hotkey the queens then tab from one to another to inject, that's a lot faster.
How can you mess up with the queens spreading if you have them on a different hotkey.

It had something to do with extra hatches and queens running out of energy, then the other queen walks all the way to the other hatch.

they are using a method called the backspace method where you rehotkey the base camera hotkey from backspace to something like spacebar. you hotkey every queen to a hotkey then press that hotkey plus space bar plus v click the middle of the screen over and over. its faster but if you have more hatcheries than queens or if the queens arent in position, they will start walking to hatcheries far away.

next base = space

queens on hotkey, then press queen hotkey, hold V, space, left mouse button, space, left mouse button... you cant find any faster afaik

So i assume its not a very popular method since extra hatches is pretty popular nowerdays?

when you have your 4-5. base the inject method is less impotant, then you could use camera hotkeys or like Idra / STLife doing it, queens on hotkeys: 5, 6, 7, but in mid game, if you do some pressure or 2 base timing, the inject method is the most important and while you fighting you could spamm your hatcherys with backspace method, so doing the two method together is the best like Hyun do it ^^

you can make it work with macro hatcheries but it just takes some babysitting every time you inject that way, especially if you just spam without bothering to inject once per queen as problems will arise when you inject at a hatchery with a queen no where near it. also the base camera hotkey takes you to a hatchery, not a queen, so sometimes you cant help but tell a queen to walk a long distance to inject. alternatively you can just prss escape after you are finished spamming to stop all queens that are walking around but this can seperate queens from hatcheries and mess up over time thus the babysitting required. just use camera hotkeys to inject. getting fluid about moving between bases is a lot more helpful than saving a few seconds of inject times.
