I was diamond league back in season 3, and I just did my placement matches. I won all 5 games and i got put into gold.. How does that make any sense?

Mmr is how good the game thinks you are.

well that sucks..

if you didnt play in a long time/upgraded to hots, then your mmr was reset.

if you ever play 5 games for place, means you don't really have an mmr or whatever.

just play and you'll get to where you were, if you deserve it. we all had to re-do our master rank-ups (in case of nevada, he is still diamond ) right when hots came out!

Yep,

Your MMR was reset due to inactivity.
Your placements probably matched vs all gold players and below.
Thus, gold league placement.
Makes ez sense.

What's the problem?
If you belong in diamond you should climb gold and plat with ease.

maybe he played nevada one of those games
