When I played 2 years ago I definitely had ladder anxiety but only in 1v1. I would have to force myself to even play 3-4 games a day before I had to stop because my hands were ice cold.
No such anxiety in customs/teams idk. I got the same thing when playing in my own tournaments but it wasn't as bad as 1v1 ladder.
I played more 1v1 ladder games in 3 days this time around than I did the entire time I played last time.
the thing with 1v1 is that there is a level of competition or pressure beyond the kind of "casual" atmosphere of 2v2 or arcade
I guess that might the same kind of anxiety one may face when making a speech in public, versus speaking with a bunch of friends, or speaking as a whole in public, and kind of the fear of failing
I kind of got used to it though after years of music competitions and whatnot. The difference in that though is the added pressure from an adjudicator, who objectively is much better and can hear pretty much every mistake you made, to pretty much every minute of practice you decided to skip. That's kind of the problem about people not wanting to be coached on stream I guess. It's kind of humiliating if you do something bad.
