looking for JSP's preference. "random" seeding would be pairing loosely based on league-GMs with the lowest, masters with the next lowest and so on. Preset teams would require one upper league player and one lower league player.

One of the more knowledgeable people should be in charge of pairing everyone up. Do the whole 1 metal league /w 1 Diamond+ , then just use judgement to pair them up. Ya know High plat = High Diamond/low Master Gold = Mid-High Master/ Silver-bronze = High Master - GM

That's how i'd do it anyways. Make it as fair and fun as possible.
