Just started playing sc2 again, first time I've actually played reg and not just stupid custom/arcade games since the original sc. Currently I'm ranked bronze-gold in everything but on my 2v2 team ( which i'm ranked bronze ) i'm playing mostly platinum++ people. I've played a couple masters and a lot of diamonds. I did a little bit of research on the matter but it still doesn't make since that with my horrible win rate I'm still playing players of this caliber. I'd say honestly I'm probably around a gold player judging from what I've seen. Doesn't make much sense that I'm playing masters lol.


If anyone out there could give me any real input I would seriously appreciate it .

oh I will . I wanna get better, I'm mostly a fps guy these days and I've gotten so bored of slamming random kids online. This game I'm defiantly bad at and I will continue to play until it gets to the same lvl of boredom, which I doubt will happen anytime soon.

Bronze - Silver - Gold - Platinum - Diamond - Masters - Grand Masters...Really? So it jumps from masters until ONLY top 200 in each region? There should be 1 more league after masters which consists of the best top 1000 players and after that it is GM

I was curious about the same thing as at one point i was getting seriously annoyed that as a bronze I was facing master and diamond league players.
So I IM'd Blizzard on it. Basically what the ytold me is the rank of the opponents you face are based of your last win/loss - Meaning if the previous 2v2 game you played you won and got say 25 points
you are most likely going to be facing higher league players in your next match, but if you lost your previous match w/ the same points lost, then you will most likely be playing lower league players.

Its sounds weird I know, but that is the info that I got when I asked about it.

in short it only takes one good win with good points to be pitted against higher league players.

So I've managed gold in everything now. I'm ranked 1st in gold on 1v1s and I can't seem to move up , I know i'll get there sooner or later. Anyways just thought I'd give you a progress update. won 2 in a row on 1st place so i'm thinkin my first game tomorrow ( if i win ) should do it.
