Hello there.
I've just started playing SC2 and i must admit i find it quite fun, even considering the fact that i loose pretty much every online multiplayer game, which i play.
And for that reason i have decided to ask for a little help, since i'm conviced i will find this game even more entertaining once i can actually compete instead of getting destroyed each game.
Now, for your information i play Terran (basically because it was the first i was introduced to, and the most simple for me atm), and i have gotten to the point, where i have realised that it is very important to always make sure your units are in constant work. I heard the term ''Macro'' or to have a good macro, which basically means a good use of your economy along with a good production of units what so ever.
Furthermore i've learned to ''Wall-in'', isolating my base, which have given me more time once in a while and also kept scouts away from my base.
Speaking of scouts, i've heard many say that it is very important to have a look at your enemies base/bases, so you have an idea what they are building and therefore will know how to counter or deal with this.
And here to comes my greatest issue. I have NO clue at all about how to react to what they are building. I never know, wether i should go for a quick attack, or stay back and maybe expand quickly. I have no idea about what the diffrent buildings or structures do, along with many monster types.
I know most of this comes through experience and playing, surely. On the other hand, i wondered if there were some kind of guide how to know what to go for and so on.
That being said, i would love ANY kind of advice of how to adapt to the game more quickly. Good keybindings to make, good early game decisions. - Whatever works good for you guys, basically.
In case you've read my whole message and find some time to share your experience and advices, I would appriciate if you keep a more or less simple language and not too many shortcuts, as i'm not very much into the terms yet.
Thank you for your time.
