Don't know if this thread has been opened many times before, but there is no search option, so I'll just open it because I would like to know what people think.

Starcraft 1 vs Starcraft 2, which one do you play, which one do you think is better? etc.

I play starcraft 2 because that's where the community is .... but that's not to say that it's a better game in every way than BW



There are many things in BW that are superior to sc2 .... like the fact that there are no uncounterable game mechanics (FF/fungal), scouting is much better/reliable and blind strategy is punishable

Starcraft 1 is the most perfect game to ever be created.

cept for the awful graphics + irritating mechanics...

the only thing I like more about sc1 is the unit balance + how the fights work (aka you can't be retarded like modern sc2 zerg players in WoL).


apart from that, sc2 >. and sc2 will evolve, so BW is basically not worth thinking about anymore =/.

Forgot to add my opinion.

Imo SC1 is better.

I've played starcraft 2, but, at least for me, it's lacking the special feeling Starcraft 1 had. SC2 just feels like..another game. It might just be because I've played SC1 so much, but, SC2 feels dumbed down, SC1 will and always be a special game for me...and the fact that when I log in and there are 10,000 out of 40,000 players on battle.net playing SC1 must mean something.

Atm Sc1 >>>> but after next patch and many, many, manyyyyyyyyyyy balance changes, Sc2 can be much better than sc1

i think i had more fun playing BW because i was younger.

1 but 2 has potential
