Ive played SC1 when I was younger but i never really knew what to do other than spam minions lol

Most important thing is, play a lot. And try to understand how the races/units work. And remember you can always do more better.

how should I begin each game as protoss? what should my main priorities be in buildings?

9pylon 13gatway 15gas > core when gates done. make zealot stalker. dont forget warpgate. Then you can kind of free style it. Dont forget to scout opponents. Watching streams helps a lot to get ideas of what to do.

It depends what build you're doing / what you scout. Easiest build to learn is 4gate. So google that and figure it out. Once you can 4gate properly, you can try different builds/styles that fit your style. But learning how to 4gate will teach you how to build things on time, use chorno boost and micro ^
