Hey.. when i was younger i loved playing SC1 and because of this i insta-purchased SC2 on its release

Truth is ive never played it. i installed it and just... left it.

Honestly im scared! The game has what i interpret as a huge skill ceiling and its unnerving to say the least.

Id love to get into it, but im wondering if its a futile idea.

Any advice you could give me? Thanks

I guess its the militant build order scenarios and vast lexical field in SC that leaves me feeling a bit out of my depth.

Im quite a competent player in most other games and am almost exclusively pvp focused. Problem is, no other game i play is like this one.

I guess its a case of picking a race i like the look / feel of and going for it?

Exactly this. Decide which race you like the most. Play that race.

Things to know: People will tell you that you play the faggola op nab race. No matter what race you play. Everyone will say your shit is imba blah blah. You will always feel like your race is the worst race.

In reality, it's more or less fair until you're at the high'ish levels of play. And even then stuff feels too good. So don't let balance stuff stress you out too much. (I should take my own advice).
