^ I just got this, I set it up and ti's working...kind of. The internet is connected but the speeds are worse than what I got wirelessly. When I go to speedtest.net I get 10mb dl and 5 up on my PC that's wireless, on my laptop using the adapter I get like 3dl and 1up.

What could cause this?

Well, the latency and speeds suck because you're going through the infrastructure in your house, you are better off going wireless or even better, directly through a cable.

you're fucking retarded LOL

It's most likely a port / ip conflict than it is a speed issue considering that cat-5 and up have better carrier speed and insulation. You don't have to deal with emi and structural interference the way you do with wireless.

Or your router, nic, modem is bad. Since you can connect wireless it's prob ur router having trouble assigning dynamic ip's or some random port conflict, maybe both?
