I've said it numerous times that Stephano is overrated as fuck and he's dodging the GSL because if he were to play in a format like the GSL he'd get wrecked.
Having to use three builds against all matchups in a weekend tournament like Stephano is used to is nothing like the GSL/Proleague where the opponents have more than a weeks notice to prepare against him specifically.
Thanks for proving my point, #2 foreigner

Naniwa for the better part of 2012, haven't seen him lately so can't make the assumption that he's all of the sudden worse than Stephano.

He got smashed in by one guy and beat another.
Every one in this site was praising him to have a guaranteed top 8 finish in the GSL
Doubt he would even be able to qualify into code S if it wasn't for him getting Polt's foreign scene seed, despite Violet having the far better year.

If you can't compete you would lose every game, which he didn't.

He's clearly still the #1 foreigner.

Also pretty sure Stephano did better than naniwa in 2012... but sure... stephano is ez mode zerg so Naniwa is more impressive perhaps.

In terms of money Stephano is the "#1 foreigner because he made more"
Which is a stupid as fuck logic for any autistic members of this forum

2 round 8 GSL finishes last year, Naniwa spent most of his time in Korea and didn't travel much during his time here.
Before Korea he's already proven that he's a "foreign champion" winning MLGs

and yes, zerg.

It's actually all you can go by... no1 gives a shit how good you are in training.

And naniwa failed in gsl tbh... he showed he was not able to adapt at all.

Actually the only thing you can go by are the results and Naniwa made back to back round 8 in easily the hardest SC2 tournament in the world and Stephano got eliminated in round 32.
