From experience I can tell you it does mean something, The differences are just a bit more subtle. I see a lot of WoL masters players stuck in gold/platinum etc.

It's about the learning curve, not the ability to copy and execute builds.

So wrong lol. tons of bronzies in masters and even in grandmasters, it's all luck of the placements (whether you play masters or bronzes), and whether you started early or not.

theres no bronzes in gm, theres bads in gm but what you're saying is way more extreme than what it really is.
