Would it be worth while to practice on EU, Mini? Seems like that would be slightly better practice than NA, never know..

Playing NA players is your choice.

Why do you need a jerk? I'm sure minigun has a life outside of Starcraft and is probably in school or has a job. Even if he doesn't, anyone who's made it in NA has made sacrifices: HuK, IdrA. If you aren't willing to give up everything, you will accomplish nothing. Playing on NA seems to give the top players an illusory feeling of being at the top, which comes from beating up on amateurs who play the game casually (Top Masters - Mid Gms).

EU ladder isn't much better. Ladder in general isn't good practice because of the way Blizzard has it work. In BW ICCup was amazing practice for everyone because you would only play players of your skill level, in SC2 you're playing players of all various skill levels no matter how high you get in MMR/rank.

EU has terrible players all throughout the GM ranks, it's incredibly comparable to NA. The only difference is NA has more Koreans playing here so I play more on NA. I actually play much better on KR ladder for some reason. In the last 3 seasons here's been my win%/stats on each server:
NA - 140-100
EU - 97-39
KR - 78-27

All starting from masters high masters MMR.

Ladder just isn't good practice.

His opinion on ladder values more than mine when I've played a shit ton of games on every server and achieved the same ranks he has? hmmm

I'm just saying ladder isn't good practice, saying "NA isn't good practice" when implying comparison to other ladders is just wrong. LADDER isn't good practice in general.
