Just wake up after reset and play a few games, if you're anywhere close to high masters you get a promotion and with the new mmr system you just have to beat a few mid masters to keep your bonus pool down.

But I got in mid season because I didn't play the first 3 days of ladder, I was #1 rank in the world of masters for 2-3 weeks before getting in lol

Right now I make a lot of money doing instructional videos and coaching, I get paid $60/video which takes an hour to make. I often get booked for $200+ worth of coaching at a time and that's near the end of WoL. Once HoTS comes out there will be a much higher demand for coaching / more opportunities to make money. Plus I have a few deals for some startup sites that I might work for when HOTS hits so we'll see how that goes.
