nop, couse you can not micro the zerglings whitout effect.

spine range 7, cooldown 1.85sec
zergling speed oncreap 3.84
3.84*1.85=7.104
0.104/3.84= 0.03seconds

if you micro your zergling 0.03seconds, after it get a hit from spine, and you run away intime, you prevent it from die, and can run out of spine range, and not get hit 2-times in a row, meanwhile this zergling does 2sec no dps

micro/macro what does it have to do whit 7zergling vs 1 spine, explain you post plz, if you can!

i not think this happens to my wall, my locust can not run out atm.

now if 1000 zergling are coming, only 3-4 zergling can attack 1 spine at a time, lets take 4 for the teoriecraft!
4.31zergling dps vs spine
9.5dps from spine vs zergling = 0.271zergling die per second
2*locust damage=27.9dps=27.13effective dps vs 35life zergling to3shot = 0.77zergling destroyed per second bye 2locusts

300 spine life / (4zerglings*4.31dps) = 17.4seconds (excl. zergling travel speed/spine range, not that it matter so match!)

(3*9.5spine+27.13locust)*17.4/35zergling life =+/- 27.65 zerglings have been destroyed before wall is broken

it might take some time to benefit from the expo, but the point is that you are taking it FIRST. So you don't have to 100% saturate, you just need to get enough drones there to give some some eco advantage + still be able to hold his counter attack. There is no need to go hardcore drones and lose....having the expo and more workers than your opponent = you will have more units than him faster.

If he doesn't try to expand himself (if he does, he is behind anyway) and attacks you...hold it with spines and it's GG cuz you have that base and he doesn't.

You should never try to push into a heavily defended area once you have already done damage/denied an expo unless you know it will work! You will find that in diamond-master, people will stop your 1 base stuff very easily because it's easy to detect. Gold league players can barely control their units, making them vulnerable to such strange timings.




A swarmhost rush will only work on a toss at a specific 2 base timing...you need to nydus outside of his base and go for the natural. anything else will just be easily crushed imo. i can guarantee this will not kill a 3-4 gate opener protoss with mothership core and a robo. It would actually be incredibly easy to hold since you're gonna have such a small quantity of stuff.
