I think its CPU socket is wrong.

You need an LGA 1155 socket for the processor. That looks like it has an FM1 socket.



Both have an AM3+ socket. Again, not an LGA 1155. These mobos all support AMD processors, not intel ones.

Check the "specifications" and it'll usually be the first line. You should run a search for "motherboard LGA 1155" instead of just motherboard.

Thanks Brian! I went through a lot of motherboards, I saw the Intel z68 but it was out of stock on canada computers
I decided not to cheap out too much on some parts and went with this msi z77a-g43 one

I REALLY don't have serious needs for multitasking and I really wanted to get closer to my original budget of $600

total came out to be $723 and after rebates it'll be about $660 so thats not bad
