As with every expansion it is imbalanced in the beginning. The same can be said about dt's in early wings (at one point they discussed Immortals warping in), widow mines in early hots when all terrans did was rally units off 3 base with mines for 10 mins non stop and win (see all of innovations games, literally, all), and now in legacy adepts, marauders, ultras, etc.. It'll be fixed.
The game needed a major change and this was good for sc.
while i agree with most of your posts, can't say i agree that this was good for the game. they did nothing new...same repeat of the same shit. new units (unbalanced) + new campaign.
the only positive change i saw was that you start w/ more workers...and that change is too little + too late imo. Most of the community has left this game. I played 5x 1v1s and realized it just wasn't worth it.
They had so many chances to jumpstart/revive this game, and they never capitalized. They never hit the social side (moving to free to play, putting in a spectate feature, improving the garbage arcade UI that we lived with for years). It really made me lol when this game came out bc I didn't even know the release date - they underspent on marketing bigtime. Their pathetic attempt to do streamer giveaways was just a sad joke.
I just hope that the next iteration of Starcraft is run by some creative people...Blizzard is pretty much entirely a joke now in my eyes.
