If you don't outsmart your opponent and lose, he outsmarted you.

dont look at it like the loser was outsmarted, look at it like the loser forgot to send in an overlord or scan at a certain time

theres really nothing smart about doing a build that relies on that kind of thing

If you don't scout thoroughly, you aren't smart. If you can't determine what your opponent was doing from your scout, you aren't smart enough or you need to scout more. And if you determine you need to scout more and you don't, you didn't scout thoroughly and you aren't smart.

If you scout it and know it's coming and still die to it, you're bad unless you scout it way late, in which case you didn't scout thoroughly.

Just to clear this up before the question arises, I'm both stupid and bad by these definitions.

so you are saying if you do scout it and you're good, you can stop it? the answer is yes, i'm just hoping you will agree immediately since it's what you said

so whats smart about doing a build that you know full well that if your opponent scouts it, its a loss?

How many fucking idiots do you know? 'Cuz I know a lot of fucking idiots, and let me tell you, it's a pretty safe bet to bank on someone else being stupid.

if you're smart enough to recognize how a build could potentially work, what makes you think your opponent won't? you can do a 1g expand and follow it up with a very fast 4 gate w/ zealots but if i drone scout that you only have 1 gas then that's going to be a big waste of minerals

even idiots can play hundreds of games and recognize little hints that lead to timing attacks

You're correct, I play the race that has won the least number of SC2 pro events.
Random.

If you think that it's so easy to stop these builds, why are you complaining about them?

i'm not, they are easy wins 99% of the time

im just saying there's nothing smart about using one of those builds in anything but a bo3/bo5/bo7
