Heroine has much more mild side effects than meth/cocaine.  Cocaine, for example, will wreck your nose after extended use.  Meth burns holes in your brain and can make your face look like melting wax.  It's pretty disturbing to see.

There's also this one recreational drug in Russia that causes flesh rot.

Heroine doesn't have as drastic of side effects; it's mainly feared due to its addictive nature rather than its repercussions.

no rage, but you clearly haven't had extended contact with a heroin addict if you're going to deny that heroin has repercussions.

also, the shit in russia that causes flesh rot is called krokodil, that shit is bananas. it's like, heroin cut with gasoline.

Once heard a statistic 95-97% of gun related crimes are due to repeat offenders who are let out of jail. Never actually verified this statistic but if it were true those men were already barred from buying guns legally. However it is incredibly easy to get a hot gun(s) in any city in America at a low price and do all sorts of wrong.

if heroin and meth would be legal and would be easy to get, a lot more people would try it out and do it, it is about reducing the chances of bad things happening. If it is not legal, and cannot just buy it anywhere he wants, he will have to go after it, contact people and stuff, and has a bigger chance of retracting before actually doing anything.
Legalizing, or at least decriminalizing, narcotics lowers usage. This has been proven time and time again.

It also has no relation to the firearms debate. At all.

Heroin has pretty brutal long term side effects, and it can induce potentially dangerous behaviors in the short term. It exposes you to all kinds of risks, especially when you're buying heroin of unknown origin that could be cut with potentially harmful chemicals. Kind of like how most cocaine is cut with heart worm medication right now because it passes street purity tests. The main reason to not do heroin is because of how addictive it is. There's no reason to expose yourself to that.

Everyone from medical professionals to conservative shill thinktanks like Cato agree with what I wrote. Nevermind the more liberal view of opposing strict legislation against individual possession.

Decriminalization dropped at least one of the drugs you mentioned's usage by half over the course of a decade in Portugal. Drug use, with the exception of marijuana, is generally down there as well.

I already answered that in what you quoted. I think the numbers would be very small and like I said, the people who aren't doing something because it's illegal probably aren't going to be a problem. I think that if you're going to have alcohol and weed legalized then why is there even a line? Why does the government tell us what we can and can't do? Why are they drawing the line for us? It's okay for me to get drunk or high but only on the substances they deem appropriate?

The arguments are so idiotic too, bringing up crime rate in itself is stupid. If everything were legalized we'd have no crime, right? So technically making guns illegal will increase crime, will put more people in jail, and cost more money; even though gun murder is at it's lowest rate since 1981 and gun ownership is higher.

never said that banning weapons in the USA now would change anything.

Heroine has psychological effects and physical addiction/dependency effects, just like every other drug. But it doesn't do shit like melt your face or burn holes in your brain; it's very mild by comparison.
