toss wins 3 major tournaments in a row: GSL, season 3 finals, world finals. Nerf incoming?

It took about 45 straight Terran victories for the nerf to happen in WoL

Tbh as a Protoss player.

He did not deserve to win that game 1 imo. Just turtled like fuck until he had an unstoppable army.

all 3 races have a way to come back in a game that they are very far behind in

it relies on the other player to not make the correct units, but its always a possibility so you do it if you really want to win.

for toss its to never leave before maxing out and pushing at least once.

sOs didn't win game one so much as Jaedong lost it. But to say sOs didn't deserve that win...I'm not so sure. He did some really good damage early game with the cannon rush, then put up a really strong defense against Jaedong's attempted pressure. The key thing that shows me he deserved the win is that Jaedong didn't have to suicide a huge number of units. Jaedong didn't have to do any horribly obvious bad play that cost him a huge amount of economy, or a huge amount of his army, or anything. sOs simply kept himself in a position to win the game until Jaedong made a small army composition (and positioning) mistake and then sOs exploited it.

Also, despite being contained the entire game, sOs was always applying pressure on Jaedong. Behind far as fuck, can't leave his base, still warping in zealots for really successful mineral line harass.

Did sOs win that game so much as Jaedong lost it? No. But did sOs deserve the win? To stick tough despite what Jaedong threw at him, despite the long odds of winning that game...to stay mentally checked in the entire time and not make an exploitable mistake, I'd say that yes, sOs very much deserved that victory he got in game 1.

Well put. I think the majority of higher end players on this sub would have given up in that scenario. I definitely did not see him winning game one and I personally thought the whole thing would snowball from there.

Only way this finals could have been better is if JD would have won it.

RIP #1 Zerg.
