agreed, but u still need to play duffman at some point or else this tournament doesnt mean shit

and@ the mod, y wud u ever shut down tourneys? ppl talk shit and flame all over jsp, its not ideal i guess but this is an online forum, thats what happens. There is so many benefits to having tourneys for fg like this that it wud just be not worth it to hinder the community by killing these tourneys

its bad enough that people cant put their own streams all the time but i was under the impression that tourneys r 1 of the main reasons this sub-forum was created. U can only discus balance for so long, good players will leave the subforum after a while if they cant compete/stream etc.

If there is nothing at cost, then there's no need to haste yourself in attempt to win something of little importance. Sure the prize is 2,000 forum gold which is roughly around 40-50 dollars (following the general discussion rate), but when you have nothing to lose then it doesn't really matter. This tournament isn't at anyone's priority merely because it was free.

The better thing to do was to set-up the time frame on all the rounds.
For example: Round 1 - Played by August 25, 2010 3:00 PM EST. Round 2 - Played by August 25, 2010 5: PM EST. etc, durations could be extended a little since games could take longer than 2 hours [ i suppose ].

But this tournament was organized to have time to play, which is about a 3day duration if I recall. So it's the same thing but I guess the complaint was just the fact that its too long. lol, plus it would be hard considering there is only 1 organizer.
Time isn't on everyone's side, it doesn't matter what you do. Just because its not as important as someone else does not mean you can neglect their plans to roll around yours.

I think the tournaments shud be played much much faster than that, there are way bigger tourneys played over like 2 days....

I definitely agree. This was a learning experience for all of us.

A better way to do it would be set aside like 6 hours on a weekend day and do it all on jsp instant messenger, play all the rounds one after the other.

I did it this way because I wanted to take everyone that signed up, which meant big brackets and turned out to be a big thundering herd of cats jumping in every direction

But we only had a few forfeits so it turned out okay.

You don't have the rights to do that NOR should you have any rights in the first place to be doing that. If this is what you got along with that Mediator tag then I'd be disappointed at the amount of power mediators have to control competitive gaming for prizes in which some people have manifested their insight on JSP by donating money for Forum Gold. You are only suppressing the communities demand.

That's like banning Football because the players got into a fight.

I'm glad you had the audacity to say something like that though. Show's me another reason why this website is corrupted.

I don't need to have the "rights" for this, I just have to point out what's the problem with these kind of tournaments
I also pretty much doubt you have any idea what you're talking about when you say "If this is what you got along with that Mediator tag" or "Show's me another reason why this website is corrupted"
If you can't find the log out button yourself i'll be glad to assist you ma'am . Posts and attitude like you've displayed are the reason why i posted her previously .

Oh yes ,fyi football matches have been canceled and competitions dismissed due to incidents.

It's a shame the little kids on these forums have such an opportunity to ruin it for the rest of the people.

There will always be shit talkers, whether they cancel future turny's or not.

I don't see it as a problem though, people just need to grow up some.

But flaming the mod is probably not a good idea.

This is pretty true. Although in gaming shit talking is not really a big deal in comparison to other sports. Not sure why people would care so much about it in the first place.
