agreed, but u still need to play duffman at some point or else this tournament doesnt mean shit
and@ the mod, y wud u ever shut down tourneys? ppl talk shit and flame all over jsp, its not ideal i guess but this is an online forum, thats what happens. There is so many benefits to having tourneys for fg like this that it wud just be not worth it to hinder the community by killing these tourneys
its bad enough that people cant put their own streams all the time but i was under the impression that tourneys r 1 of the main reasons this sub-forum was created. U can only discus balance for so long, good players will leave the subforum after a while if they cant compete/stream etc.
If there is nothing at cost, then there's no need to haste yourself in attempt to win something of little importance. Sure the prize is 2,000 forum gold which is roughly around 40-50 dollars (following the general discussion rate), but when you have nothing to lose then it doesn't really matter. This tournament isn't at anyone's priority merely because it was free.
The better thing to do was to set-up the time frame on all the rounds.
For example: Round 1 - Played by August 25, 2010 3:00 PM EST. Round 2 - Played by August 25, 2010 5: PM EST. etc, durations could be extended a little since games could take longer than 2 hours [ i suppose ].
But this tournament was organized to have time to play, which is about a 3day duration if I recall. So it's the same thing but I guess the complaint was just the fact that its too long. lol, plus it would be hard considering there is only 1 organizer.
Time isn't on everyone's side, it doesn't matter what you do. Just because its not as important as someone else does not mean you can neglect their plans to roll around yours.
