Never heard of this GM before [If it was even a legit GM lol], but even still, few terrans can survive the Warp Prism DT drop.

*egoflex* (Not really, but still funny, he really liked his widow mines)

Huh, how do you counter a protoss player when they do early phoenix builds in their base? My meta must be really far behind, I went to make an oracle for harass, but he was waiting for my very first one with two phoenix ontop his mineral line?

Blink stalkers? Or make your own phoenix and out-micro with homefield advantage / mothership core? Or is there something simpler to do?

Still having trouble with Zergs, I don't know when I can poke and pressure them, or really how to scout what zergs plan on doing. (With exceptions for early mutas) I'm so rusty.

Tell me how to abuse zergs, kthx <3

I usually open in-base phoenix when I expect an oracle. Ppl usually don't follow you in phoenix bc they are already behind 2 or so, which is huge. However, with core and good micro, you CAN compete catching up in the phoe count. It usually becomes a battle of who gets more gas and range first.

I've seen ppl go blink stalkersw w/ a connon per mineral line and just expo and be defensive until they have an army that isn't worried about them. Or they do an archon 2base all in bc they know your phoenixes aren't that great vs that.

For zergs, i 90% of the time do a robo all in with 2-3 immortals + a warp prism (pick up low immos vs roaches). Prior to that, I usually push out with my sentry heavy + zealot army to force units if i see them only making drones w/ a third then recall out. You slow them down a bit (or gank the third, which is godly) and they usually drone so hard to make up for it that the 2 base fucks them lol.

Ahhhhh, yes Archons are the answer I needed, I remember that being highly effective, and since I like DT's I can cause a lot of pain for other protoss. Even if they make an oracle to have to micro and deal with my split DT's...I'll try that next time

Thanks ^^

Robo all in with warp prism.....hmm I'll try that out, will post results later. I haven't utilized the Recall spell at all from the mothership, I guess I should start.

(I'm only really now starting to play against 'higher' masters players, so most of these wins don't really count yet)
(I offered the Falkan guy the win if he would practice a few 1v1's afterwards so I could improve the build, and see how he would try and counter it)

But minus the two games I've thrown on purpose and quit out on...I've got a like 95% Terran winrate lol. No one expects cheese this complicated :D

Since this forum is pretty dead still, I hope you guys don't mind all my humble/ego bragging & posts :D

I used your drop dt build to get myself in masters also. Similar win rate vs Terran.

Most Terran expect oracles and automatically turret up at ~ 6 min anyway. Even if they completely scout everything including the prism I find I still win ~75% of the time.

Yep, the early advantage of the DT's is also thus:

(1) If you're on a big map, or decent sized map. By leaving a DT outside his front entrance, you force him to scan. Force another DT somewhere in the middle if he decides to move out, force another scan. So basically by the time he hits your base, he is out of scans and you can delay him. Force him to retreat.
(2) You have DT's you can warp in anywhere, which if he decides to do drops, you warp in a few DT's and you can really shut harass down.
(3) By having Archons, your army composition will automatically be stronger vs a typical bio push. Also, when your DT drop hits, you can often times take out the stim upgrades on his bio. Which is huge and lets you start your Collosi production as your 2nd base should have been underway. You'll have plenty of gas to fuel your DT's and Collosi

etc etc. Basically, if you can get any advantage, get ahead, and NOT lose your initial/starting DT's or archons and the warp prism. You stand to get very far ahead. You'll have a 2nd base on the way, and access to all the tech you could possibly want.
