i saw Sage do it... he went phoenix with mass void ray right behind. then was able to hold back the army in his main,etc. however, the zerg just base traded as much as possible xD.

Sage won with like no bases left, only 2 in middle. It's on huskies channel, sage vs random mediocre zerg.

problem is, mutas make really good trades against void rays and if you involve your phoenix in the encounter, muta/corruptor beats void/phoenix with good micro

he won some engages in his territory with the voids + phoenix. charge with phoenix buffer on voids actually was quite effective. I do agree with you that the muta/corrupt is superior - basically one of the reasons i despise zergs lol.

idk, i think he COULD have won against anyone with that - really is situational.. i dont watch enough stuff to really have an opinion on that.

I did, however, watch that game whilst pondering how to beat muta/corrupter BS. then my conclusion was that even top 10 GMs on NA lose their entire main by the end of the game when up against that
