I guess you don't understand what the term "average" means.

even tho i correctly used the term myself,

im just sayin sounds like he pulled that number outa thin air

i sucked dick in brood wars, watched sc2 wol beta games from husky starcraft to decide if i wanna buy the game, after watching some of the pros do it and getting a few pointers, after ~50 games against the computer, i finally decided to try melee and in first season i was placed in plat and second season moved into diamond and so forth

ive also seen bronze league videos and it looks as if a downs syndrome kid is playing with only a ball mouse, no keyboard

if that number is true, then bronze league players should just uninstall

if after 200 hours ur still as bad as u were at 0 hours, at 500-1000 hours u probably might improve to silver, but is it worth it?

he claims 200 avg hours per bronze player in this video http://youtu.be/aC4e4ZnjWDc

every hour u played BW basically counts toward your total understanding.

a new player coming to rts would need a long time to understand

lol ......... thanks dr phil

in the real world, anyone who plays 200 hours in bronze should put the game down and move along. I should point out though, that you never mentioned BW previous to this post

The points/league you see are not always relevant.

MMR is hidden and quite in depth for measuring your skill level.

It really isn't complicated
Win alot --> move up leagues
Win some --> you are right where you should be
Lose alot --> move down leagues

Pretty simple

the game is about fun
not about League placements

Leagues placements and MMR are there to keep the fun at maximum!
noob vs noob can be just as fun as pro vs pro
why would a noob not be welcome to play SC2?
