Erm... everyone uses the same baseball and the same playing field...

Not a single major league baseball stadium as the exact same outfield dimensions as ONE other team...

If you knew anything about sports you would know that the rules change ALL the time, and have done so a myriad of times throughout history.

I do personally think that no one can lose a game of starcraft due to anything other than their own fault, though.

If you genuinely think you're losing because of balance then you just suck, too bad. Get over it.

You can blame all the outside forces that you'd like, but in the end you are just trying to reduce your own cognitive dissonance because you can't overcome the strategic use of pixels

ez

this is the most ignorant opinion in the world

if you played in such a way that you never lost to any random build - you'd be behind economically every game ????

you'd never try any cheese builds like DT all-in or proxy plays

so maybe its POSSIBLE, but you'd have to play from an economic deficit every game, and allow people to meta-game you like crazy. You'd have to be significantly better than everyone you play. And if you need to be 25% better than player X, and player X is at 81% of the skill ceiling than you can't win :) As an example

ofc some matchups are more forgiving than others ... like zvt for instance. If you never made mistakes you'd probably never lose that (or you'd rarely lose)

I'm speaking more toward people who are consistently losing and blaming balance nearly every time, as opposed to someone who is accepting what their shortcomings and mistakes were in the last game and moving on. Build order losses are different.

It seems like you think i'm saying that one should be able to win every game. That's absurd. What i'm getting at are people who aren't owning up to their own faults and are blaming the game.

I'm pretty sure you misinterpreted my post entirely.

well .. anyone who's below GM level is probably fucking up enough where they shouldn't be blaming losses solely on one single thing

yeah I can agree with that, if you are below gm shouldn't be balance whining regardless. The game shouldn't be catered to the lower leagues anyway.

Well even if u didn't feel like my sports analogy was accurate the main point of the post is he is way too disrespectful in a loss and this would not be tolerated in other sports. Kind of hypocritical for me to be saying since I tend to get mad and talk shit but then again I'm also not the most recognizable face of Starcraft in America with sponsorships and streaming and coaching. But then attacking my point on that would be a logical fallacy,

But man you guys have ADHD lol. Latched on to my analogy, which I do feel I was correct on that, and decided to run with it instead of the main juice

The game should be catered to the largest player base.
