i think if they replaced thors with goliaths, made 6 mineral patches default instead of 8, and made 1 gas geyser with 1.5x efficiency instead for WOL it'd seriously be as good if not better than brood war
it would emphasize the power of units higher in the tech tree while making them harder to get, fixing a lot of the problems with mid-late game zerg and protoss
all these pro games come down to a messy clusterfuck of units where zerg wins 95% of the time past 30 minutes

naw i played WOL a bunch and saw a few huge problems in the game
i can understand opening it up more to a casual userbase but i think they can do that through UMS games and still have the competitive multiplayer be challenging and great but they haven't even come close to what brood war was
i'll get HOTS at the midnight release and probably be inevitably disappointed like I was with WOL
