'Back in the day' , Protoss had the, hands down, best lategame of the three races. Oddly enough though, that was when they were at their weakest but even still, the matchups at that time were way more fun to watch. When Protoss has the best lategame, it forces Zerg and Terran to be aggressive. For a while, though, it's been Protoss all ins in the majority of matchups because they have the worst lategame, this causes Terran and Zerg to be much more passive and incredibly boring games.

This has nothing to do with balance, like I said the time when Protoss was fun to watch was when they were overall weaker and less success but had the unbeatable lategame. It was just so much more fun to watch a Zerg do something other than turtle to BL's or watch a Terran ( although they do still play some aggressive styles ) try to break the Protoss before late late game.

I don't think this even has anything do do with patches / something changing in the game. It's just Terran and Zerg can utilize lategame units a lot better and more effectively than Protoss. We all already know that Protoss can't compete with BL/Infestor army against a good Zerg camped with mass spines. But Terran is arguably harder to deal with, it's actually impossible for Protoss to fight a Terran with 15 vikings/10 ghosts/MNM because even with supply put into Vikings , that composition will beat ANY gateway based composition. So Terrans are playing gayer and gayer lately just sitting until they have that unbeatable composition.

Protoss doesn't have good harass options, watching Protoss kill drones with phoenix or warp prism play is just sad when you see how little affect it really has because the later the game goes the stronger Zerg becomes. Oddly enough, HerO v Stephano at IPL is going on while I'm writing this and that's exactly what's happening. HerO harassing and doing well, killed the 4th 2 times but then just gets trucked when he tries to push out.

Anyways, this was mad rambly and I didn't take any time to actually write it so it's probably horrible grammar and badly worded but whatevs~

Every race should have it's strengths but not by how much time passed, because that's just retarded, then you are kinda like forced to all in because if you don't win before a point of time, then you just lost. That is incredibly stupid.
