you can just use the optical drive from your old desktop unless you are planning on sell that as a whole. Motherboard will be hard to pick out.

i would spend $50 more for just i5 vs i3
without the 2 to 4 core

I have about $200~$230 to split among these 3 parts, any suggestions?

8150 is 200$ while the 2500k is 180$

the 2500k uses 80 watts while the 8150 uses 250 watts stock

the 2500k is also ~30% faster in games

You can shave off 20 bucks if you go 2500 rather than 2500k
or if you look into the 2400 you could save another 20.

A motherboard in the 125$ range will work fine for your build.
