Too passive. Let his Protoss opponent hit an unkillable death ball. He needed to keep sniping 3rd/4th or even just trade poorly and remax super fast, but he was too scared to engage and trade poorly (and then win the game).

when i saw the spire and hive timing, i thought for sure he was going to go fast broodlords while sOs was behind just trying to get colossi

its ok though, thats an insanely protoss favored map

That is what I was thinking, too. He needed to do SOME kind of damage, and broods would have allowed him to get free units and win when Protoss was forced to fight.

2 base toss >>>>>>>>>> 9 base zerg

how to win as toss: turtle for 25 minutes, go out with deathball and win.
