or maybe you could just identify the full build (and not need to scout every single bit of it, because you know it?) based on the gas mined and opponent's measures taken and prepare proper counter measures not just see it's when it's coming and pray? This needs knownledge of the meta and timings in it, you need to use the clock even if you only use it to check up on how are you doing on preparing your defenses, or hitting with your timing
You clearly never played against protoss as terran, you need to know from the get go if it's going to be a blink all in or some other retarded shit, one misplaced turret costs you the game.

you are both right and wrong in this meta thing, it used to mean what you say it means but the phrase's meaning shifted, stuff change, it doesnt matter what it used to be, it matters what people use it to refer to.
