actually come to think of it, you guys get most series on tv as they are released.. so yea that makes sense. In sweden the series are like a season behind so everyone pirates and tv is basically obsolete

there is alot of 55-65++ year olds in sweden which is also why these numbers are high, the life expectancy is pretty high here(why do you think there is a massive surge of immigration going down?). Matter of fact is tv is quickly running obsolete especially in our age group (male 18-25) . Just google some statistics, people nowadays watch shit through other platforms and a steady decline can be seen. But hey I talk shit out of my ass, and my claims aren't backed up by statistics.

Also it should be noted that in sweden most have like 6 channels, 2 of which are national and produce only garbage for people who are having their last breaths (svt 1 being the biggest). The 4 other are commercial driven, most of which air american series episodes/movies that are usually atleast a year old. Besides that shity swedish sitcoms and other crap teenage girls consume. The only thing anyone in their right mind watches these days on swedish tv is sports but that is also fairly limited unless you pay for a 3rd party(for most households). Cable tv of any sort has never been popular down here as it costs a fortune.
