Bay area is where it's at deg. But SLO is 3rd/4th best engineering school in the nation behind Cal Tech and MIT. Can make a (weak) case for Mudd and a slightly stronger one for Stanford, but for most engineering disciplines CP slams those kids (and often slams Cal Tech/MIT at competitions).
